Milepost 50 ~ Meaford Power Station

Link to Meaford power lines The land behind the milepost, and stretching back towards the Meaford flight, was the site of Meaford Power Station. Although some power lines remain, the buildings, chimneys and cooling towers were demolished in the late 90s.
Link to view south-east The railway bridge situated shortly downstream was built for railway access to the power station and for the delivery of coal by rail.
