Milepost 31 ~ The Ash Tree
A replacement milepost which stands opposite the Ash Tree pub. This stretch is home
to the Ash Tree Boat Club (who sponsored the replacement milepost). The pub was damaged
by fire in July 2003.

To the north-east of the canal, the skyline is dominated by Rugeley power station,
which remains visible for the next few miles.

The wording on the dedication plate reads as follows: |
