An original milepost found outside the Bridge Inn at Branston. Further upstream
is Branston Water Park, which seems to be a popular mooring spot.
When the Trent & Mersey Canal Society began restoring all the mileposts, this one
was found together with milepost 19 in the garden of the lock cottage at Tatenhill
lock. They were moved to their current locations in October 1978.
