Milepost 12 ~ Egginton

Link to picture of milepost Another relatively isolated milepost situated between Willington and Egginton.
Link to view towards Willington It is on a fairly featureless stretch of the canal. Nearby is the Every Arms pub, although this has now closed and access was not possible from the canal in any case.
Link to view to Burton A new bridge (number 24A) has been constructed over the canal between here and Willington (visible in the picture looking towards Willington) to enable lorry traffic to access the quarry at Egginton.
